NoVoice

Sick of shouting and going unheard?

Maybe no-ones listening?

Well now's the time to stand up and be  heard!

The UK is going to waste and the people who can do something about it are choosing not to do anything. They assume they know the views of the British public.

THE TRUTH IS THEY ARE OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE BRITISH PUBLIC.

So how can we help?

Well truth is we probably can't. But we can try.

With your help, we can make this the site for discussion on topics that do concern the British public, simply by joining the forums and posting your comments.

They say actions speak louder than words. We say start small. Lots of voices are louder than one.

So don't just complain about it at work, or in your living room, or in the pub. Do it on here, where there is a chance you will be heard by someone who can make a difference. Then complain about it at work, in the living room, down the pub, and tell whoever listens to get on here too!

To make full use of this site, such as starting a Blog, ShoutBox, posting in the Forums, you must register. 100% free. Viewing of the forum does not require membership. The chat room is also open to all.

Thanks for your support!

Pay and conditions

So with all the strikes of late, ie Teachers and now the impending petrol walk out, how do you all think we fair on pay and conditions these days?

Are we in danger of pricing ourselves out of work with the influx of immigrants these days, as well as all the skilled workers coming over too?

Carlisle City Council

My local council, Carlisle City Council, are absolutely dire!

It's the usual take take take with them and no give.

I've just recently moved home, and my new house is in a residential parking area with a parking scheme run by the council themselves. They issue residents with permits and visitors permits and ticket anyone who doesn't have a permit with a £50 fine.

So on moving in, I applied for a permit to be told I couldn't have one as I couldn't prove I live here. I asked how I could prove that and they said by going into there offices with a utility bill. How am I meant to have a utility bill when I've just moved in? So now I'm expected to go out and change my disc/move my vehicle every 2 hours until I can prove I live here and get a permit issued. This could possibly be ok if I didn't work nights! It is physically impossible to be expected to get up every 2 hours to do this.
And guess what? Yesterday I got a parking ticket!
They have also issued me with a penalty notice for putting my rubbish out early, and in the wrong colour bag. I would accept that if it were my rubbish. But it wasn't, it was left on the pavement in front of the house by the previous owners. There very issue now ask questions later happy when it comes to penalty notices.
But that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Carlisle City Council!

I'm going to get together as much as I can on them and post it on here.

Watch this space!
